VALE – MAURICE ‘MO’ SIMPSON
On behalf of the Mayor, Councillors and Staff at Weddin Shire Council our thoughts, prayers and condolences to Mo’s family and our community.
Mo contributed significantly to our community, he was a strong voice for our Shire, a deep thinker and passionate advocate who truly cared for the region.
Mo provided 17 years’ total service to the Weddin Shire Council. He was elected as Councillor in September 1995 then elected as Mayor in September 1999, serving as Mayor for 13 years. An extraordinary, dedicated man who did so many wonderful things for our Shire not only as a formal member of Council but as a member of our community.
Mo will be sadly missed.
