Works Coordinator

The great outdoors teams with pioneering history, culture and social activity makes the Shire a great place to live and work.  The Council, is seeking applications from suitably qualified and/or experienced staff to meet Council’s operational plan requirements for the position of Works Coordinator, Permanent/Fulltime.

The primary purpose of the role is to ensure completion of a range of civil construction and maintenance activities to effectively deliver Council's Operational Plan requirements.  Essential requirements for the role are Certificate IV/Diploma in Civil Construction, Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or demonstrated equivalent civil works experience ideally gained in a Local Government environment, White Card, C Class Driver's Licence or above, Traffic Control Certification, Mine Management credentials, WHS Certificate and Fitness for rescue activity.

The Council is prepared to provide further training opportunities to assist career development or on- the-job performance.

Indicative grade is Grade 17 with a negotiable range from $1,631.00 per week.  

Conditions of employment

  • A salary range plus allowances, where appropriate, (details with the position description) subject to the demonstration of competencies.
  • Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award and Council’s salary structure.
  • Nine-day fortnight arrangements.
  • Fitness assessment may apply.
